The Memory Scroll

After many years of etching, I decided to work in lithography. Both printing techniques use a variety of tools unique to the media. Returning to etching, I was conscious of this and used this as a basis for the images. I used the same etching tool at the beginning of each print that I used at the end of the previous image on the scroll.  This subtly adds to the continuity, coupled with the uniform size of the prints.  The scroll is 8’ x 4”, a continuous piece of Rives paper, not in sections. There are five etchings with some gold leaf.  The box is made of boxwood with stone weights included.
